Jacinto Reyes Scenic Byway

Jacinto Reyes is in southwest California, approximately 15 miles north of Ventura. The byway's southern terminus is just west of Ojai on CA 150. The northern end of the byway is east of Cuyama on CA 166. Jacinto Reyes follows CA 33, a two-lane pave road suitable for all vehicles, for 56 miles. Thirty-seven miles are officially designated a National Forest Scenic Byway. The byway is usually open all year.

Judy Andreen Sierra Heritage Scenic Byway

This scenic byway is in east-central California, northeast of Fresno. The byway begins in Clovis and travels northeast to Kaiser Meadow, near Mono Hot Springs. Sierra Heritage is 70 miles long and follows CA 168 to Huntington Lake and then FSR 80 to Kaiser Meadow. Both roads are two-lane paved roads suitable for all vehicles. The last mile of FSR 80 to Kaiser Meadow is basically one lane and is suitable only for passenger vehicles. From Clovis to Huntington Lake, the byway is open all year. The portion from Huntington Lake to Kaiser Meadow is closed in winter.

Kings Canyon Scenic Byway

Kings Canyon is in central California, approximately 35 miles east of Fresno. The byway officially begins at the Sequoia National Forest boundary and travels east into Kings Canyon National Park. The 50-mile route follows CA 180, a two-lane paved road suitable for all vehicles. It is generally open mid-April to early November. The byway ends in the national park; travelers will need to retrace the route back to Wilsonia.

Lassen Scenic Byway

The Lassen scenic byway is in northeast California, about 40 miles east of Redding. It forms a loop of 172 miles and follows California State Highways 36, 44, 89, and 147, which are two-lane paved roads suitable for all vehicles. Portions may temporarily close in winter, otherwise the roads are open year-round.

Lee Vining Canyon Scenic Byway

Lee Vining Canyon is in east-central California between Mono Lake and Yosemite National Park. The byway begins just south of Lee Vining and travels west through Inyo National Forest to the Tioga Pass entrance of Yosemite National Park. The byway follows CA 120, a two-lane paved road safe for travel by all vehicles. Lee Vining Canyon is 12 miles long and is normally open Memorial Day to early November.
