Black River Scenic Byway
Black River scenic byway is in the western corner of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, near the Wisconsin state line. The byway begins in Bessemer and travels north to the road's end on the shores of Lake Superior. Black River is 15 miles long and follows North Moore Street, Saint Johns Road, and Black River Road (CR 513). All are two-lane paved roads suitable for all types of vehicles. The byway is open year-round.
River Road Scenic Byway
This byway is in northeast Michigan about 90 miles north of Saginaw. It travels alongside the AuSable River between Oscoda and Hale. From Oscoda the byway follows River Road to MI 65, which it follows into Hale. The byway is 30 miles long and is open year-round. The roads followed are two-lane paved roads safe for all types of vehicles.
Whitefish Bay Scenic Byway
Whitefish Bay is on Michigan's Upper Peninsula about 15 miles west of Sault Sainte Marie. It begins in Bay Mills and heads west across Hiawatha National Forest to the junction with MI 123. The byway follows FSR 3150 and FSR 42, which are two-lane paved roads suitable for all types of vehicles. Whitefish Bay is 27 miles long and remains open year-round.
