Cherokee Foothills Scenic Byway

Cherokee Foothills Scenic Byway crosses northwest South Carolina. Travelers can access the byway from I-85 at Exit #1 and follow SC 11 east to Gaffney or rejoin I-85 at Exit #92. South Carolina Highway 11 is a two-lane paved road suitable for all vehicles. The byway is about 120 miles long and usually remains open year-round.

Oscar Wigington Scenic Byway

Oscar Wigington is in northwest South Carolina about 53 miles west of Greenville. It begins at the intersection with SC 28 and travels north to the North Carolina state line. A spur road heads east and ends at the junction with SC 130. The byway is 20 miles long and follows SC 107 and SC 413. Both state highways are two-lane paved roads suitable for all vehicles. Icy conditions may exist in winter, otherwise the byway is open year-round. Fourteen miles are officially designated a National Forest Scenic Byway.

Savannah River Scenic Highway

Savannah River Scenic Highway is in western South Carolina. It begins near Augusta, Georgia at the South Carolina state line and travels north to Westminster. The byway is 110 miles long and follows SC 28, SC 81, SC 181, SC 187, and SC 24. All the roads are two-lane paved roads suitable for all types of vehicles. Savannah River Scenic Highway is open year-round.
